Callaway Mack Daddy 4 (Description)
Launched in the UK on the 26th of January 2018, Callaway released the Mack Daddy 4 wedge that offers four different grinds to suit other playing techniques; you can switch through an attack, versatility, forgiveness, spin across the four grinds. This forged masterpiece also features a Dynamic Gold Tour issue shaft for golf players that crave striking ball flight and more firm control.
Looking at the MD4 wedge surface, you’d find different grooves strategically put in place to enhance ball spin across different points of the wedge; 84 points precisely says Callaway.

Groove-in-groove technology; The groove-in-groove technology in the Callaway Mack Daddy 4 wedge allows for more consistent spins. How does it work?
The wedge features a horizontally milled and saw-cut main groove. In order to get more control over full shots on the wedge, it features continuing groove pattern through the lofts.
The new wedge series also seem effective in ball cover grabbing as it features micro-ridges, which extends the ball hitting area. These grooves combine to provide 84 different ball hitting points, to enhance spin.
Offers 4 grinds; These new series of wedges feature 4 grinds with slightly different intended purpose.
C-grind: The C grind is suitable for firmer turf conditions; the enhanced heel relief makes the C grind easier to produce shots with its open face.
S-grind: The S grind features a conforming medium width sole, a slight Camber on the wedge back, and reasonable heel relief, which helps keep the edge low on impact.
W-grind: This is the most forgiving and versatile of all four grinds due to its wider sole. Its gene rough Camber that extends from front to back, helps prevent digging.
X-grind: The New X grind by Callaway features a high-bounce sole. According to Callaway, this particular grind is ideal for moderate to soft course conditions and calm to sudden attack angles.
